The historic port of Lahaina
was once Hawaii's whaling port -- and is
still a good place for whale watching.
Other things have changed, though, with
the grog houses now converted to
restaurants, art galleries and souvenir
shops. If the touristy crowd turns you
off, use Lahaina as a launching point for
a daytrip to the privacy of Lanai.
