Boston Massacre Site Near the corner of Congress
Street and State Street
Boston
A simple
circle of cobblestones
marks the site where five American
colonists were killed by British soldiers
in 1770. The brutality of this incident
helped spark the anti-British rage that
ultimately led to the American
Revolution.
The site of the Boston
Massacre is very difficult to find since The
Freedom Trail red line goes near it, but not actually
to it. Worse yet, there is no plaque or
sign, so you need to know where to
look for it.
