Hawaii Weather
People are always asking us at The Aloha Insider what the best time to visit Hawaii is. Frankly, we think Hawaii is a great place to visit any time of year! But here are some things to consider:
Although Hawaii's busiest tourist season is during winter (December to February), this has more to do with the weather elsewhere, since many visitors are snowbirds escaping cold winters back home. If cost is a major factor for you, think about visiting in the relative off-season of summer or early fall, since April through mid-December is when hotel prices are at their lowest.
Average temperatures differ very little from winter to summer. June through October is the hottest period, while rainfall is heaviest between December and March -- but neither extreme is worth worrying over. Daily temperatures in Honolulu average a high of 84F (29C) and a low of 70F (22C). If you're a surfer, you won't want to miss the Christmas-time action around Oahu's North Shore, but if windsurfing or diving is more your thing, you'll find the waters at their calmest in July and August.
