Philadelphia Hotels
We are often asked about our hotel recommendations. In Philadelphia, we like The Four Seasons because it close to Philly's major museums and other top attractions. Granted, it can be on the pricey side. But here is an insider tip to use when you book your hotel room (here or any chain): get best rate by calling the hotel's local number, not the 800 number and ask to speak to the manager on duty, who almost always has the authority to negotiate room rates. You'll find that if the hotel isn't completely full, the manager will generally be more willing to offer a discount than someone at headquarters.
We also like The Rittenhouse, which overlooks historic Rittenhouse Square and is great for visitors who want to check out the Walnut Street shops.
