What's Happening in May in Philadelphia
If you've got a trip to Philadelphia planned this month, we recommend a stop at the Barnes Foundation. There is great art and sculpture there all the time, but in the warmer weather, you'll also have the bonus of admiring their arboretum.
Spring is also a good time to visit the Franklin Institute's Science Center, especially for kids, who will love the Star Wars exhibit that runs through May 4th. The Philadelphia Museum of Art has a wonderful Frida Kahlo show through May 18th. And while you're there, we also recommend that you check out the authentic Japanese tea house.
Other recommended museums in Philadelphia include the Rodin Museum (featuring the largest collection of the artist's works outside of Paris; the gardens are nice in spring, too) and the Brandywine River Museum for Wyeth art.
