Growing and Greening New York
The Museum of the City of New York has a fascinating exhibit related to Mayor Mike Bloomberg's PlaNYC, which outlines how NYC can cope with issues of sustainability, especially those related to land use, water, transportation, energy, air and climate change. The exhibit imagines a day in the life of average New Yorkers in 2030, walking the viewer through routine activities and how they might look in the future. To promote the green theme to its full extent, museum admission will be free on the final day of the exhibit (Earth Day, April 22).
