At
last MOMA is back in Manhattan, in the
most extensive exhibit of its collection
ever. Don't be surprised to see
museum-goers run to greet their favorite
paintings like old friends -- its been a
while since many of these familiar works
have been on display and they've been
missed!
Of course, the new
installation hasn't been without
controversy, but for the most part, we
Insiders like the way that MOMA has
organized its amazing collection of
Post-impressionist and 20th century works
of art including paintings, sculpture,
drawings, prints, photographs,
architectural plans and models,
decorative arts.
Much has been made of the
new restaurant space designed and run by
Danny Meyer's group. So far, our
experience has been a positive one. We
lunched in The Modern's Bar Room and
loved the look and the food.
