The
Brooklyn Children's Museum was the first
museum created expressly for children
when it was founded in 1899. Since then,
it has become much beloved for its
"please touch" attitude, its
remarkable educational exhibits and
programs, and its permanent collection of
27,000 cultural objects and natural
history specimens.
Currently undergoing an
extensive 6-year $46 million renovation
project, the new (bright yellow) building
is expected to open to the public in May
2008.

admission and current exhibits, visit the
museum's web site.
